Summer Floral Wedding Inspiration
Updated: Jun 20, 2018
Summer is in full swing and that means the plants in our garden are growing like crazy! I love the idea of getting inspiration for weddings from flowers and herbs. Sometimes starting with something simple like the main type of flower you want in your bouquet can be a great starting point for the color palate and theme for the rest of your wedding decor. But who says that you have to have just flowers in your bouquet? Why not get a little creative with other plants and herbs which can create a beautiful aroma as well as aesthetic. Greenery and herbs such as Eucalyptus, sage, rosemary and lavender make fresh, beautiful accents in bridal bouquets.
There are a few great ways to accent this subtle garden theme, such as putting small packages of seeds at each place setting as a takeaway gift, planting a tree together instead of a unity candle during your wedding ceremony, or labeling each table after your favorite plant or herb. Want to get even more creative with this theme? Add an element of fun to your bridal shower by having an herb-smelling contest to see who can identify the smell of each herb, and then give away decorative pots with fresh herbs as prizes. There are so many ways to incorporate this unique flower alternative into your wedding. Now excuse me while I go pick some fresh basil out of the garden and make a Caprese salad!
